Filler works to fill out or tent up hollows in the face that are naturally occurring genetically, with age or fatigue. They also enhance the look of thin crepey skin. Common areas treated with filler include the lips, the low under the eyes, the cheekbones, the nasolabial lines and frown lines.

At Platinum Medical center, the multiple types of filler relate to their density. Different parts of the face need different densities. For instance, the thinner areas of the face under the eye need a lighter weight density. In the lips, we use a moderate to medium density filler. Also, in the nasolabial lines and frown lines, medium body density lasts longer in the tissue, but can also increase the volume effects. We use higher density fillers to enhance cheekbones and enhance or reverse drooping of the middle facial third which results in the ageing appearance. Use of filler in the upper third helps to reverse the sag of tissues and minimises the need for filler in the lower facial thirds.
